I am excited to share another fabulous post by Lauren from Stylized Existence. This time she has taken our Basic Black applique and has given you a fantastic outfit idea. Thank you so much Lauren for being a guest post, twice! You definitely have an eye for fashion and I appreciate you sharing your style secrets with us!

Hi there Ryah Sofia fans!  Lauren here again from Stylized Existence.  This week, I wanted to show you how you can make the best use of your Basic Black Applique.  In my opinion, this $10 applique is WELL worth your money, as the black will go with so many different outfits.  You can dress it up or dress it down, and today I wanted to show you both possibilities in the form of a woman’s look and a young girl’s look.

First up is the child’s look, made completely from Old Navy merchandise.  I didn’t plan that from the start, but Old Navy produces really affordable pieces that won’t make you cringe when your little one grows out of the pieces after 2-3 wears.  I couldn’t get over how cute the motorcycle boots and faux fur vest are – they are so fun for a little girl who has a knack for fashion.

The woman’s look is a much more dressed up, work appropriate look.  The conservative look is made a little more “fun” with the addition of the Ryah Sofia basic black applique, the Dalmatian print bag, and red nails.  You could easily swap a pair of black skinny jeans and flats for the pencil skirt and heels and have a weekend appropriate “stroll around town” look!  Don’t be overwhelmed when you see inspiration that doesn’t fit your lifestyle – think of how you can swap a piece here or there to make it work for you!

Thank you Angie for asking me to guest post!  I really enjoyed creating looks to surround your beautiful creations!

I am super excited about this weeks Style Me series, because of our fabulous guest post by Lauren from Stylized Existence. I recently discovered her fabulous blog thanks to Kelly from Kelly Gorney Photography. Lauren puts together some pretty amazing outfits! She definitely has the eye for details and she has done just that with the fantastic outfits to match our Tinsel Tiding applique.

Hi there Ryah Sofia fans!  I write a women’s style blog www.stylizedexistence.blogspot.com, and recently Angie asked me to give you all some ideas for how to wear the Tinsel Tidings applique this season. I put together a look for the younger generation Ryah Sofia fans and another look for the more mature audience J  For the young ones, I styled a more casual look – something she could wear to school or for a playdate.  The green sweater works nicely with the darkest green of the applique, and the rest of the outfit serves as a back drop to allow the gorgeous applique to shine through.  The black is basic, but much more fun because both the shoes and the top are polka dotted!  Playing off of the pearl in the middle of the applique, I also added a little pearl bracelet from Gymboree.

For the women, I took a dressier take on the applique and styled an outfit that could be worn to a holiday party (can you believe it’s almost that time of the year!?).
Again, I used the outfit as the backdrop to showcase the applique, and made sure to throw in some special details to give the outfit a unique look.  The blouse has a menswear feel to it, but tucked into the draped skirt, it will look sexy and feminine.  Pair this with black opaque tights and a gorgeous pair of ankle booties like the pair above with the bow detail.  Add some sparkly jewelry like the Bauble Bar cocktail ring and Aldo earrings, paint your nails a bold red and you’re ready to share in the holiday cheer!

A good friend posted this on my FB page the other day for a bit of inspiration for my upcoming marathon. I wanted to share it with all of you. It is very inspiring and such an amazing story of a father and his love for his son.

I am 4 days away from running my first marathon. And it hasn't been an easy journey. Whoever said training for a marathon was easy, never trained for a marathon.

I am truly grateful to the support of all of you and all the wonderful business women who helped me raise over $1500.00 as part of my training. 100% of that money raised went to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for cancer research. My Mom is a direct benefit of that research. So THANK YOU.

I also could not have done it without the support of my family. Who sacrificed so much for me to be able to train for this marathon. Their support, encouragement, faith, and love for me is the sole reason I am able to run this race and am ready to do so. I am truly humbled and grateful.

It's time again for our annual Early Bird Christmas Special! Last year we offered the festive "Holly Berries" applique and this year we don't let you down. Available only with this special is our new "Fruitcake" applique. Such fun festive colors for the holidays. Looks great with the MJC Sugarland line as well as the Missie Moosie holiday line from last year. Heck, "Fruitcake" would even look fabulous with Missie Moosies Pink collection!
Either way this is great for all you early birds who like to get an early start on your Christmas shopping.
Sale starts Tuesday 10/11 and ends 10/26

Please excuse me while I vent for a minute. Just wanted to publicly express my frustration..... I know that there is many choices when it comes to hair accessories these days. And I am beyond grateful and humbled by the wonderful supporters and customers that Ryah Sofia has. Seriously, you guys rock! But sometimes I see that my ideas and styles get used in someone else's creations... and I KNOW that they were my ideas because we talked about them, whether it be via email or face to face. Just wish people wouldn't seek out my advice and then turn around and use it for their own financial gain.
Ok, I'm done I'll get off my soap box now. Love you guys!

To end on a good note enjoy these fabulous photos,  from the always wonderful Kelly Gorney Photography, featuring our new Snowball flowers!

I'm super excited about our new knit flowers. They are the perfect piece for little ones and a fun new style for Ryah Sofia. The best part about them is that they come in a set of 4, and if you have girls anything like mine, you know that you need multiples of things. An extra in case one gets lost, and extra in case both want to wear the same style, you get my drift. Plus, I love the basic colors, they go with everything in my girls wardrobe!
We have 2 different styles, our Snowball style has 2 small flowers together on a clip and our Snow Globe style is a single puffy flower on a clip. Both styles are interchangeable with any of our bands.
Check them out here!

On sale right now is our "Sweet Potato" applique. I love the brown and earth tones in this piece, but what I love more is the subtle hints of blue and gold that you find in the printed rosette and in the embellishments. To me this piece screams tall fall boots, which are my fav, and printed carpet bags. She's classy, neutral, and the best go to piece when you need to spice up your outfit but don't want to add bright colors.
