I've officially past the one year mark, actually I passed it a few weeks ago, but it just hit me. It's been over a year since I started Ryah Sofia. I can't believe how far it's come. I can't believe how much change has taken place, how much growth and maturity has taken place, it's amazing and I am truly grateful. YOu can see some of the changes that have taken place. These photos were done in the first month of business!

I have gained some amazing fans and customers along the way, and they are truly the reason that Ryah Sofia is as successful as it is. Thank you for your loyalty and love of my designs. I hope that we can continue on this journey together, creating and sporting accessories for the everyday girl. Thank you!

Try it Thursday is a step-by-step post on how to style your little ones hair worn with one of our appliques. Try it Thursday will be posted each week and I hope you'll give each hair do a try. Their fun and super easy!

Today's post is a criss-cross braid worn with our "Nora" applique from our Fall 2010 collection.

Step 1: part the hair down the middle or off to one side.

Step 2: make 2 pigtails securing with a hair band. Then braid each pigtail securing the ends with an elastic band.

Step 3: then take the left pigtail, cross it over to the right side and wrap it 3/4 of the way around the hair band and secure with a bobby pin. Repeat on the right side.

Step 4: secure ends by bobby pinning in the middle of the now combined braids.

Finish with hair spray smoothing down frizzy pieces.

Attach your applique to an elastic band and add headband off to the left side of the head. Voila!

Hi there! Welcome to the new Ryah Sofia blog! Grab a drink, make yourself comfortable and stay awhile!

Getting a new website put me on the track to actually putting together a Ryah Sofia blog. I have talked about it and thought about it for probably a year now. So this is long over due.
It won't be fancy. It won't be spectacular. The grammar could possibly be incorrect (sorry Molly). But I hope you will come away with new ideas of how to wear your Ryah Sofia's and hopefully some fun hair-dos along the way.

Thanks for joining me on this journey! My fans and customers are the best and I truly appreciate each of you. You are the reason Ryah Sofia gets better every year!
